Bizzilo Inventory is supermarket inventory management software for supermarkets, grocery and kirana stores. In the aisles and the storeroom

Where a supermarket's stock count slips. And how Bizzilo Inventory holds it steady.

  1. The problem

Fast movers empty before the next delivery

Milk, oil, dal and biscuits sell all day. With thousands of lines on the shelf, a gap is noticed only when a regular customer asks for something that is not there.

    With Bizzilo Inventory

Set a reorder level on each item, for each store. When stock reaches it, a purchase order is drafted at your supplier's price list for you to approve, so ordering starts from the count rather than a walk down the aisle.

  2. The problem

    Perishables that spoil unrecorded

Bread, curd and vegetables have a short life. Whatever is thrown away without a record turns up months later as a gap nobody can explain.

    With Bizzilo Inventory

Record spoilage and damage as stock adjustments with a reason code, the user and the time. Packaged goods with an expiry date can be tracked batch by batch, so short-dated stock is visible before it has to be thrown away.

Batch tracking is part of the Accelerate and Scale plans.

  3. The problem

Bought in sacks and cartons, sold loose and by the piece

Rice arrives in 25 kg sacks and soap in cartons of 48, while the counter sells kilos and single bars, so the two counts drift apart within a week.

    With Bizzilo Inventory

Unit conversions link the unit you buy in to the unit you sell in. Receive four sacks and stock shows 100 kg; sell 750 g at the counter and it comes down by exactly that.

  4. The problem

Deliveries that do not match the order

The supplier's van drops short quantities, a crushed carton or the wrong pack size, and the bill still arrives for the full order.

    With Bizzilo Inventory

Receive the delivery against the purchase order with a quantity and quality check. Accepted goods enter stock, damaged goods are set aside as rejections, and anything not delivered stays open as a back order.

  5. The problem

Home delivery selling what the shelf does not have

An online order takes the last packet that sold at the counter ten minutes earlier, and the delivery goes out short.

    With Bizzilo Inventory

The counter, the storeroom and your online store share one stock count. A counter sale lowers the online count in the same second, so a delivery order cannot take stock that has already gone.

Reorder levels and suppliers

The shelf tells you what to order. At the price your supplier agreed.

A grocery store buys from many suppliers, often several times a week, in small quantities. Set a reorder level on each item, for each store. When stock falls to it, Bizzilo Inventory drafts a purchase order to that item's supplier, and each supplier's price list fills in the rate, so the order does not depend on an old invoice.

Orders go through purchase approvals before they are sent, which helps when more than one person buys for the store. When the delivery arrives, it is received against the order with a quantity and quality check. Anything short becomes a back order; anything damaged can go straight back on a purchase return with a debit note.

Perishables work best with low reorder levels and frequent orders, and slow lines with higher levels and fewer orders. You set the level for each item, so the rule matches how that item actually sells.

  • Reorder levels per store

Purchase orders drafted when stock falls to the level.

  • Supplier price lists

Each supplier's agreed rate fills in on the order.

  • Checked on arrival

Short deliveries become back orders; damage is set aside.

Perishables and wastage

Every loss has a reason. Recorded the day it happens.

Spoilage, breakage, spills and expired packs are recorded as stock adjustments. Each one carries a reason code, the quantity, the user and the time, so the stock count stays true and the loss is visible by reason rather than hidden in a year-end gap.

Packaged goods with an expiry date, such as dairy, bakery and baby food, can be received and counted batch by batch. Batches close to expiry show up in the stock ledger, so they can be moved to the front of the shelf or returned to the supplier before they spoil.

When your counts do not match the shelf, a cycle count on one aisle at a time brings them back in line, and each correction is logged the same way.

  • Adjustments with reasons

Spoiled, damaged or expired, with user and time on each entry.

  • Batch and expiry

Short-dated packaged goods flagged before they spoil.

  • Returns to suppliers

Damaged or short-dated stock back with a debit note.

Batch tracking is part of the Accelerate and Scale plans.

Units and one count

Buy in sacks. Sell by the kilo. One count for the counter and delivery.

Unit conversions link the unit on the supplier's bill to the unit at the counter: a 25 kg sack to kilograms, a carton of 48 to single bars, a crate to trays. Stock is kept in the unit you sell and converts on every purchase and sale.

The counters, the back storeroom and your online store read the same count. A stock enquiry shows what each store and storeroom holds, and home delivery orders come off the same stock as a counter sale.

New lines and price changes arrive in bulk from a CSV file, so a supplier's revised rates or a new range can be loaded in one go rather than item by item.

  • Unit conversions

Sack to kilo, carton to piece, on every purchase and sale.

  • Every location

Stores and storerooms on one stock ledger.

  • Bulk updates

New items and prices uploaded from a CSV file.

GST in India

GST on grocery stock. Set on each product, carried through purchases and sales.

Exempt and taxed lines side by side
Fresh vegetables and milk are exempt, and since 22 September 2025 many packaged foods, edible oils and toiletries are taxed at 5%. The rate and HSN code sit on each product, so purchases and sales of the same item carry the same treatment.
Supplier bills in the same books
Supplier bills are recorded against the goods receipt, with their GST, and flow into GSTR-3B. Returns to suppliers carry debit notes, so the tax on goods that went back is not left in your books.
Filed from Bizzilo One
GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B are prepared from your sales and purchases, with the HSN-wise summary, and filed directly from Bizzilo One.

Rates checked on 26 September 2026. Rates change; confirm the rate for each product with your CA.

Supermarket inventory management software keeps count of every item on the shelf and in the storeroom, orders from suppliers when stock runs low and records what is lost to spoilage or damage. Bizzilo Inventory does this on one stock count shared with your counters and your online store.

Most keep stock in the unit they sell, receive every delivery against an order, set reorder levels on fast movers, record wastage with a reason and count one aisle at a time. Bizzilo Inventory handles each step, so the count on screen is the count on the shelf.

You set a reorder level on each item for each store. When stock falls to that level, a purchase order is drafted to the item's supplier at their price-list rate, ready for approval. Reorder levels are on every Bizzilo One plan.

Spoiled and damaged stock is recorded as an adjustment with a reason code, user and time. Packaged goods with expiry dates can be tracked batch by batch, with short-dated batches flagged in the stock ledger. Batch tracking is part of the Accelerate and Scale plans.

Receive the delivery against the purchase order. What arrives enters stock, anything damaged is set aside as a rejection, and the missing quantity stays open as a back order until the supplier sends it.

Yes. Your counters, storeroom and Bizzilo online store share one stock count, so a packet sold at the counter is gone from the online store in the same second.

Yes. Unit conversions link the unit you buy in to the unit you sell in, such as one 25 kg sack to 25 kg, or one carton to 48 pieces. Stock converts on every purchase and sale.

Plans include one to five stores and one to five warehouses or storerooms, with packs to add more. Every location is on the same stock ledger. Stock transfers between locations are coming soon.
