Supermarket and grocery billing software for queues that never stop.

Bizzilo POS is billing software for supermarkets, grocery and kirana stores. Scan packed goods, weigh loose rice or vegetables on a connected scale, hold a cart while a customer fetches one more thing, and take UPI, card, cash or khata credit. Every counter bills against one stock count, even when the internet drops.

At the grocery counter

Where a grocery counter loses time and margin. And what Bizzilo POS does about it.

  1. The problem

    Loose items priced by hand

Rice, dal, vegetables and sweets are sold by weight, and working out each price on a calculator is slow and easy to get wrong.

    With Bizzilo POS

Connect a weighing scale to the counter. The weight comes into the bill and the price is worked out from the rate per kg, on the same bill as the packed goods you scanned.

  2. The problem

    The first-week-of-the-month rush

Salary week and weekend evenings bring long lines, and one customer who has forgotten an item holds up everyone behind them.

    With Bizzilo POS

Hold that cart, serve the next customer and re-open the held bill when they are back. Open more sales registers for more counters, all billing against the same stock.

  3. The problem

    Khata in a notebook

Neighbourhood customers buy on credit and settle later, and a paper khata is hard to total, easy to dispute and gone if the book is lost.

    With Bizzilo POS

Sell on credit to named customers. Each account shows what is owed and when it is due, and a credit limit stops the counter from extending more than you agreed.

  4. The problem

Shelf price and bill price disagree

Supplier rates change every week, and a bill that charges more than the shelf label costs a customer's trust.

    With Bizzilo POS

Update prices in bulk by uploading a CSV file. Every counter and your online store read the same catalogue, so the new price applies everywhere at once.

  5. The problem

Billing stops when the internet does

A broadband cut on a Saturday evening means handwritten bills and a night of re-entry.

    With Bizzilo POS

The Bizzilo POS app keeps billing offline and saves the bills on the device. They sync when the connection returns, and stock catches up on its own.

Loose and packed on one bill

Weigh it, scan it, bill it. In the unit you actually sell.

A grocery bill mixes two kinds of item. Packed goods carry a barcode, so the cashier scans them with a USB or Bluetooth scanner. Loose items go on the connected scale: the weight comes into the bill and the amount is worked out from the rate per kg, so nobody multiplies 0.750 by ₹40 in their head.

Unit conversions keep the stock honest. A 25 kg sack of toor dal bought from the wholesaler is sold half a kilo at a time, and stock is counted in kilos throughout, so what the screen says matches the bin.

Each line carries its own tax rate, so exempt fresh produce and taxed packaged foods sit on the same bill and are each taxed correctly. Print the bill on a 3-inch thermal printer or send it on WhatsApp.

  • Scale at the counter

The weight comes into the bill and the price is worked out for you.

  • Scanner for packed goods

USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners, no typing.

  • Buy in sacks, sell by the kilo

Units convert on purchase and sale.

The queue

More counters, one stock count. Online or offline.

Plans include sales registers, from one on Start to twenty on Scale, and you can add registers as a pack when you open another lane. Every counter bills against the same stock, so the last packet on the shelf cannot be sold twice.

When a customer steps away to fetch one more item, hold the cart and bill the next person. Re-open the held cart when they are back; nothing is lost and nothing is scanned twice.

If the internet drops, the POS app keeps billing and saves the bills on the device, then syncs them when the connection returns. The app runs on Windows, Android and iOS, so a counter PC and a tablet for rush hour work the same way.

  • Held carts

Park a bill, serve the next customer, re-open it later.

  • Sales registers

One on Start to twenty on Scale, with packs for more.

  • Offline billing

Bills are saved on the device and sync when you are back online.

Payments, khata and closing

UPI, cash, card or khata. And a drawer that matches at night.

Show a UPI QR code for the exact amount, take cash or a card, or split one bill across modes. Regular customers buy on credit against their own account, with a limit you set and a due date you can see.

Record damaged or spoilt stock as an adjustment with a reason code, so wastage shows up as wastage instead of a mystery gap at stock-take. Packaged goods can be tracked by batch and expiry date on the Accelerate and Scale plans.

At closing, the cash drawer shows cash in, change given and payouts such as a delivery boy's fuel, and the count that should be in the drawer.

  • UPI, card, cash and split

One bill can be paid in more than one way.

  • Khata credit

Balances, due dates and a credit limit for each customer.

  • Wastage by reason

Damage and spoilage recorded with a reason, a user and a time.
