At the pharmacy counter
Where a chemist's counter loses time. And what Bizzilo POS does instead.
The problem
The evening queue
Between six and nine, one slow bill holds up five customers, and typing medicine names by hand is where mistakes creep in.
With Bizzilo POS
Scan the barcode on the strip or search by name, and the line is added with its price and tax. Hold a bill while a customer checks with their doctor, and serve the next person in the meantime.
The problem
Bought by the box, sold by the strip
Distributors invoice in boxes and cartons, the counter sells strips, and the two counts drift apart until stock-taking day.
With Bizzilo POS
Unit conversions link the units: one box of ten strips, one carton of twenty boxes. Sell a strip and stock comes down by a strip, so the screen matches the shelf.
The problem
The wrong batch leaves the shelf
When stock is not counted batch by batch, the oldest strips sit at the back until they expire and have to be written off.
With Bizzilo POS
Stock is counted batch by batch, each with its expiry date, so you can see which strips are oldest. Batches close to expiry are flagged in the stock ledger so the counter sells them first.
Batch tracking is part of the Accelerate and Scale plans.
The problem
Regulars and clinics who pay monthly
Chronic-care patients and nearby clinics often settle at the end of the month, and a notebook of dues is easy to lose.
With Bizzilo POS
Sell on credit to named customers. Balances, due dates and payments are tracked for each account, and a credit limit stops a sale that would take an account over it.
The problem
The internet drops mid-bill
A broadband cut at a busy hour means handwritten bills that have to be typed in again at night.
With Bizzilo POS
The Bizzilo POS app saves bills while offline. When the connection returns, the bills sync on their own and stock and the books catch up.
Billing
A bill in the order a chemist works. Scan, sell by the strip, take payment.
Most packs carry a barcode, so the counter scans with a USB or Bluetooth scanner and never retypes a name. Loose items without a code are found by searching the product list. Each line comes in at the price and tax rate set on the product, and the total is worked out as you go.
Because stock is kept in the unit you sell, a strip, a bottle or a single box of test strips bills correctly without a calculator. If a customer needs to check a dose with their doctor, hold the bill, serve the next customer and re-open it when they are back.
Print the invoice on a 3-inch thermal printer or A4, or send it on WhatsApp. Invoice templates carry your logo and business details, and on the Grow plan and above the invoice can be printed in the language your customers read best.
Scan or search
USB and Bluetooth barcode scanners, or search by product name.
Sell in any unit
Buy in boxes, sell by the strip; stock converts on every sale.
Print or send
Thermal or A4 invoices, or the invoice on WhatsApp.
| Item | Batch · expiry | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Paracetamol 650 mg × 2 strips | B-2409 · 03/27 | ₹64.00 |
| Cetirizine 10 mg × 1 strip | C-2408 · 08/27 | ₹22.00 |
| Glucometer test strips × 1 | GT-118 · 11/27 | ₹899.00 |

Payments and credit
Every way your customers pay. And every rupee accounted for at closing.
Show a UPI QR code for the exact amount, take a card or cash, or split one bill across several modes. The payment is recorded against the bill, so the day's collections match the sales register without a separate notebook.
Regular patients and clinics that settle monthly get a credit account. You see what each one owes and when it is due, and a credit limit stops the counter from extending more than you agreed.
At closing, the cash drawer shows what came in, what was paid out and what should be in the drawer, so any gap is found the same evening rather than at month end.
UPI, card, cash and split
One bill can be paid in more than one way.
Credit accounts
Balances, due dates and a credit limit for each customer.
Cash drawer and day close
Cash in, payouts and the closing count, by counter.
| Document | Date | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| Bill P-10311 | 12 Sep | ₹6,480 |
| Bill P-10398 | 19 Sep | ₹7,905 |
| Bill P-10466 | 25 Sep | ₹3,855 |
Credit limit checked on every bill
Counters and stores
More counters, one stock count. Online or offline.
Each plan includes sales registers, from one on Start to twenty on Scale, and more can be added as the store grows. Every counter bills against the same stock, so two counters cannot sell the last strip twice.
If the internet drops, the POS app keeps billing and saves the bills on the device. They sync when the connection returns. With more than one store, a sale at one updates the stock you see for all of them, and reorder levels draft the purchase order to your distributor when a medicine runs low.
The POS app runs on Windows, Android and iOS, and the back office runs in any browser. Staff sign in with their own login, and role-based access decides who can give discounts, take returns or see reports.
Offline billing
Bills are saved on the device and sync when you are back online.
Windows, Android and iOS
Bill on a counter PC or a tablet; manage from any browser.
Staff roles
Each login sees and does only what its role allows.

GST in India
GST at the pharmacy counter. Set on each product, applied on every bill.
- Most medicines are at 5%
- Since 22 September 2025, most medicines are taxed at 5% and a list of life-saving drugs is exempt. Bandages, glucometers and test strips moved to 5% too. Set the rate on each product and it is applied line by line.
- HSN codes on every invoice
- Products are mapped to their HSN code. Businesses up to ₹5 crore turnover show 4 digits on B2B invoices; above that, 6 digits on every invoice.
- Filed from the same books
- GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B are prepared from your counter sales and your purchases and filed directly from Bizzilo One. B2B invoices above the e-invoicing threshold get their IRN from the IRP.
